Poor Poor American Soccer...

We are truly not a world player on so many levels these days... but a nice recent example is soccer. How exactly do you allow your team to keep pressing against a world giant (Mexico) when you have a two goal lead?

The US team should have clamped down... played the game smartly and went on to the next level. Aside from the fact that Mexico has a great team; aside from the fact that the crowd boo'ed and air horned the entire opening ceremony; aside from the fact that 95% of the 90+K crowd was actually Mexican; we had a chance to stuff one down their throat and simply blew it.

Adenoid (1) and Tonsils (2)... THREE!!!

The whole package is coming out of Madison. July 22nd. I am not OK with this, but the whole world seems to be ok with removing something just because they get inflamed every now and then... what I did not know was how many lymphnoids(sp?) there are in the neck... WOW!

Anyways, I lost the battle after two different opinions... I pray everything will be OK with my littlest angel. Surgery regardless of how small is risky!

I know... I know... two posts in one day. Don't count on that repeating anytime soon.

Wow... he actually does something right!!

Scott signs welfare drug testing bill!

Our most unpopular Gov Rick Scott signed into law a drug test requirement for welfare recipients. I applaud this action, but too bad for FL. Scott should have taken notes about what happened already in MI.

"The wasteful program created by this law subjects Floridians who are impacted by the economic downturn, as well as their families, to a humiliating search of their urine and body fluids without cause or even suspicion of drug abuse," said Howard Simon, executive director of the ACLU of Florida. "Searching the bodily fluids of those in need of assistance is a scientifically, fiscally, and constitutionally unsound policy. Today, that unsound policy is Florida law." (Tampa Tribune from 6/1/11)

I loved that paragraph.

Um excuse me citizen with hand out... you probably don't pay for medical bills anyway... just piss in the cup and cash the check... it is that simple.

What was once the state of Obama... people around here are finally waking up and smelling the coffee!

Blowing off the dust... (blog)

Yes this account is still active.

Yes I do visit blogs, but not nearly as often.

Yes the AZ trip is on the table... when is the question. MN is a close second especially since there is a dog in the picture.

Debra is a full time college student... (just shoot me... why in 2011... what was wrong with 2001.)

The kids are all doing well. 10 years is Novatana; 7 years is Mike; and Madison is 5 years. In July... it will be 12 years for the Mrs and I... man time flies when you are grounded.

Boating is the new passion. If we are here on the Gulf... we may as well be on the water. "The Salt Life" and very private public beaches that are only accessible by watercraft.

Day 9...

It has been nine days since the family went to Costa Rica. It has been anything but a vacation for me.

I wake up.
I get ready for work.
I go to work.
I come home.
I chill for a little bit.
I go to sleep.
Rinse and repeat.

I leave for Costa Rica soon! It is just not soon enough for me.

I was catching up with a friend of mine from NY. He was asking for pictures... so I sent him a few. Well, I can at least post some of them here... in no particular order.
